Sensory Awareness

People sitting back to backDiscover the potential for health and fulfillment that springs from full presence in stillness and in motion. Being in full touch with ourselves and our surroundings, we can find our way to a more authentic, connected and healthy way of living.

Through the practice of Sensory Awareness we explore the natural processes of life in movement and stillness. Sensory Awareness is a cleansing process for all senses, reconnecting us with the organism’s innate tendency to balance and heal. Sensory Awareness is working with everyday life activities: walking and sitting, working with objects, interacting with people, listening....

Time and again this will bring us in touch with breathing, the pull of gravity and the support of the earth. These forces are in a constant interplay that keeps us alive. Very often, though, we are in a battle with gravity and we restrict the flow of air through the organism. Habitual patterns and effort often replace our ability to respond to a situation with natural ease, causing discomfort and fatigue. We seem to have lost touch with our organic wisdom and we put in much effort where we could just allow for things to happen. Becoming aware of these processes and gradually freeing them is at the very basis of Sensory Awareness.
